Ffxiv Normal Raid Roulette Exp
Farming FFXIV Gil Guide 2020
Final Fantasy XIV Gil, also refer as gold, is the standard currency in the game. You can make FFXIV Gil by killing monsters, doing missions, completing quests, dungeons, as well as selling your items. Your total Gils are showed on the currency panel. Meanwhile, Gil can be traded with other FFXIV players via mail, Market board, or FC chest. In fact, FFXIV is never a pay-to-win game. Farming is the best way to obtain millions of Gil.
This is also a great source of experience, and adding more variety to each roulette will keep the EXP grind from getting too old, too fast. Keep Your Job Up-to-Date Similar to the Main Scenario Quest, FF14 Job quests are also fountains of experience points. On July 7th Patch 3.0.1 arrived for Final Fantasy XIV Heavensward, and with it brought the brand new 8 player raid Alexander. This content represents a slight departure for Final Fantasy XIV in that the “normal” mode of the raid is designed to be far more achievable than the Binding Coil of Bahamut was at launch. You will eventually get it if you keep doing it weekly, and doing your Normal Raid roulette as there is a decent chance with that fight being new, and lots of people doing it, that you will get it in there. Patch 4.1 for Final Fantasy XIV: Stormblood just dropped this week and with it came a slew of new features, quality-of-life improvements, changes, quests, and the latest 24-player raid. Nov 07, 2020 Normal Raids – There will be two of these duties each week; one level 60 raid and one level 70. It’s unlikely that you’ll get these specific duties in your Normal Raid Roulette, because the pool is so large. Try switching to a role that’s frequently in need for raids, such as Tank or Healer. Then queue up for both your listed raids at once.
1. Completing Quests
Doing regular quest, duties, and other activities, it will help you level your character, obtain items, get Gil. Players can start the Main Scenario Quest by finding an NPC with the distinct Main Scenario Quest icon above their head, or by looking through the Recommendations list to see what Duties are in the immediate vicinity.
Every Main Scenario Quest has a minimum level requirement. Some Main Scenario Quests require the player to simply speak with another NPC, while others require the player to complete a Dungeon, collect items, slay monsters, and more. Upon completion of the Main Scenario Quest, players have always rewarded Experience Points and Gil, with other items occasionally rewarded as well.
Each starting zone, Gridania, Ul'dah, and Limsa Lominsa, have separate main story quests for levels 1 to 15. After this, all classes share the same quests.
2. Sell Items for Gil
Selling all your unwanted items with other players and get a ton of Gil. The transfer limit is 10 million gil per character, 5 million gil per retainer. There are two ways to make a deal.
- Face to face delivery. Request a friend request and make the transaction face to face.
- Market Board. You list an item in the Market Board and set the correct price. Then, other players purchase the item and you get the Gil. You will lose 5% of your Gil for the transaction fee.

3. Level a Gathering Profession
Gathering classes, also known as Disciples of the Land, harvest natural resources throughout Eorzea. For new beginners with a low level, gathering material and sell it is the best way to make Gil in FFXIV 5.2. You can start gathering with Miner, then Botanist, and finally Fisher. It cannot guarantee you become rich but is still a good deal.
Miners extract minerals from the rock faces of Eorzea. The raw ores and gemstones they acquire are utilized by the blacksmith, armorer, and goldsmith crafting classes. Botanists harvest resources from the plants and trees of Eorzea. They gather raw materials for various crafting classes such as carpenter, weaver, culinarian, and alchemist. Fishers harvest fish and other sea creatures from the waters of Eorzea, utilizing an assortment of fishing tackles to catch fish in various environments.

4. Duty Roulettes
A slow way to make consistent Gil. Doing leveling roulettes will reward you a lot of Gil, as well as level your account. Run daily roulettes, get a cracked cluster, get and sell red grade VI materia. Especially as a PLD, WAR, or DRK.
The Duty Roulette offers a daily reward that gives the players a combination of experience, Grand Company Seals, Cracked Clusters, Mhachi Matter, and Gil, depending on the type of duty, your job depending on what is currently needed, and the level of the job when entering the queue. The type and number of Tomestones available for each roulette often change with new patch content.

5. Flipping items through Market Board
“Buy low, sell high” is always the best way to make money. Look for the ‘weak’ items in Market Board and craft to add more value, then make more profit. A lot of players get a large number of Gil through this method, it may not suit beginners.
Flipping items is one of the most profitable things to do in this game. My only suggestion is to look at what sells the most frequently on your server. If you cared enough you could follow the markets and track prices for a while(aka longer than the market history price. Then try to figure out why the markets are high or figure out what markets should have value. Keeping track of which retainers you are splitting a market with and their selling habits. If you can match a retainer to a player, even better. I am trying to be as vague as possible but give some relevant info. Sorry.
6. Run Dungeons
Dungeons are the best place to obtain mendacity/poetics. You can then exchange for valuable crafting mats/grade III soil. It will help you craft high-end items and make FFXIV Gil.
Dungeons are instanced zones with powerful monsters and treasures, including a lot of Gil. Typically a dungeon will involve navigating through a zone filled with enemies, with intermittent boss enemies. Many dungeons require prerequisites to be fulfilled before they can be entered. In the event one or more members of the party have yet to clear the instance, all party members will receive a bonus upon completion.
Challenge | Description | EXP Reward | Gil Reward |
---|---|---|---|
Feeling Lucky | Complete 3 dungeons and/or Alliance Raids via the Duty Roulette. | 15% of EXP of current level (maxes out @ lvl 60) | 1,000 |

7. Gardening
Gardening takes time and money. If you have invested a house and have a lot of leisure time, you can grow a lot of plants. Certain items are incredibly valuable, such as Thavnairian Onion.
When plants have fully grown, players can harvest their crops to obtain produce. Plants may yield high-quality produce depending on how they were cultivated. It is a high profit for making Gil in 5.2.
8. Buy FFXIV Gil from PVPBank
While farming Gil takes a lot of time, you can buy FFXIV Gil directly. You can purchase FFXIV Gold from below:

11. Doing Guildleve or Levequests
Guildleves or Levequests are repeatable quests players can perform to earn experience, Gil and items. Unlike regular quests, which can only be performed once per character, levequests can be performed again and again as long as the player has Leve allowances.
Guildleves can be completed individually or as a group. To start a Guildleve, talk to an NPC with <Levemete> under his or her name. After accepting it, Guildleve appears in your Journal. Players can initiate the levequest from their journal.
Players gain 3 Levequest allowances every 12 hours, earth time. Leve allowances stack up to 100.

Grand Companies are organizations that players will join at around level 20 by completing the main story quests. There are three grand companies, The Maelstrom from Limsa Lominsa, The Immortal Flames from Ul'dah, and The Order of the Twin Adder from Gridania.

When you can gather maps yourself, join map parties, and sell the loot for FFXIV Gold. This does not need your much time if you are skilled with this method. The profit is awesome.
You find the spot by looking at the landmarks and finding it on the map. You dig once you're near the spot. Look carefully. Most common rules: Map owner Needs all loot (including all loot inside the canal). Other party members can only Greed it. Maps are done based on location to minimize travel time + cost. For example: do all the maps in Fringes, then Peaks, then Lochs, then Ruby Sea/Kugane areas.
13. Unlock Beast Tribes
Beast Tribe Quests are daily quests that require the players to perform tasks dictated by various Beast Tribes. Players will not only earn experience, Gil, items, Tomestones, and ventures for completing these quests, they will also earn Reputation points. By increasing your reputation, you will gain access to the Beastmen tribe vendor which sells unique mounts, minions, furnishings, and other items.
Meanwhile, you can unlock Beast tribes for dyes, then exchange for hundreds of Gil. The dye is a type of material used to change the color of your armor.

When you want to craft different type of meals, you will need Gil Bun. Culinarian uses it as a ingredient to craft items. This tiny round mushroom has a cap which resembles a coin, and is known for its rich flavor and pungent aroma. It can be gathered by botanists through harvesting. It is harvested from a level 20 node in Nine Ivies in East Shroud(Location: The Black Shroud, East Shroud, Lv. 20 Nine Ivies). Gil Bun is used in crafting the following items:

Access Eureka upon completion of And We Shall Call It Eureka (Rhalgr's Reach via Galiena). While technically an instance, it has a few unique rules on entering. First off, you enter by talking to Rodney rather than via the duty finder, and you can enter solo without a queue and find other players inside. In many ways, it is like an open zone, just one that allows you to meet people across the whole data center and with a 3-hour timer.
On your first trip inside you'll be treated to a minor quest, talking to various folks around Port Surgate to get introduced to the various facilities. Once that's done and you have your first piece of magicite, you just need to allocate it and you'll be ready to go.

The maps come in 8 grades, grade 8 being the hardest, and giving the greatest rewards.
Players will be free to examine the treasure chest after defeating the abovementioned enemy. There are 4 ways for purchasing FFXIV Gold. However, the first one is the best and most recommended.
- Face to face delivery. Choose the server and the amount of Gils at PVPBank, and pay the order. Then login your character, PVPBank will request a friend request. The transaction will be delivered face to face. I recommend to use this method. It is the legit and most safe method. Direct mail trade guarantees your account never be scammed or banned.
- Market Board. You list an item in the Market Board and set the correct price. Then, PVPBank purchase the item with the gil that you have bought in their website. You will lose 5% of your Gil for the transaction fee. Note: pleases do not put item in the Ishgard City MB, because of require premium account.
- FC Chest. If you have owned FC master, you can using it. The seller deposit your ordered gold in your FC Chest. It is suggested buy 100M+ Gold.
- Buy FFXIV Items directly. Instead of buying gils, you can purchase items from PVPBank directly. The seller offers best price for gold, items, PowerLeveling, as well as FFXIV class Package.
PVPbank is the best place to buy FFXIV Gil. While Gil is the main currency in Final Fantasy 14, it is difficult to find a safe site to purchase cheap Gil. PVPBank, which is established over ten years and have offered currencies to over 500,000 customers, is the best FFXIV Gil site.
Savage Alexander is scheduled to open on July 21st which is intended to ratchet up both the difficulty and the rewards of these encounters. The first hurdle however that players must pass is the gear check. Alexander requires that players have an average item level of 170, which while not terribly difficult requires a significant amount of effort and planning. Having recently completed this climb, today I am going to talk a bit about the process.
Tomestomes of Law
As was previously the case in “A Realm Reborn” the focus of your gearing is largely about running content in order to collect “Tomestones”. These are tokens that allow you to purchase gear for the job of your choice and serve as the “starter” gear for much of the end game content. To find the tomestone vendors you need look no further than Idyllshire where Rowena and her crew have set up shop once again to take care of the need of end game adventurers. The big surprise this expansion is just how reasonable this process is as compared to past expansions. The prices are similar, but what you will notice as we go through this article is that the acquisition rate has been largely increased. The best part of this is the fact that you can now get a solid weapon purely with tomestones, and no need for a secondary currency like the level 100 and level 120 weapons required.
Law Gear Prices
- Weapon – 570 Law (Paladin – 400 Sword/170 Shield)
- Body and Leg Armor – 475 Law
- Head, Hand and Feet Armor – 285 Law
- Waist Armor – 215 Law
- Bracelet, Earring, Necklace and Ring – 215 Law
So you will need a grand total of 3665 Law to fill every possible slot in your armory with a level 170 Law item. The caveat here of course is the fact that you can only have one of a given ring. For some Tanks and Healers this is pretty straight forward, because you can simply pick up a dps ring to tide you over until you get something better. For everyone else however… you have to upgrade one ring to level 180 before purchasing a second 170 ring, which is a process I will get into next.
Centurio Seals
When I spoke about leveling in Heavensward in the previous guide, I mentioned the concept of Clan Hunts as an excellent way to get a little experience between quests. My hope is that you heeded this warning, because in the end game this becomes an extremely important currency. The level 170 set of gear can be upgraded in Idyllshire to 180 gear through the use of items purchased from the Centurio Seal vendor in Ishgard. The vendor Ardolain is located in the Forgotten Knight at coordinates x13, y11 which is in the Foundation area of Ishgard. Until you reach level 60, this vendor offers you various baubles including some cosmetic pets, however upon reaching the level cap you can return to see an “Advanced” menu.
Upgrade Token Prices
- Doman Whetstone – 395
- Doman Urushi – 300
- Raw Doman Urushi – 150
By themselves these items don’t seem like much, however you can take them to a special Blacksmith in Idyllshire to turn them into the level 180 equivalent of each gear piece. Seika is a bit off the beaten path and is located at x6, x7. She will craft the following items.
- 180 Weapon = 170 Weapon + Doman Whetstone
- 180 Armor = 170 Armor + Doman Urushi
- 180 Accessory = 170 Accessory + Raw Doman Urushi
Obtaining Centurio Seals
The challenge for most players is not necessarily obtaining a full set of Law gear, but instead upgrading each piece to 180 through the use of Centurio Seals. As a result I am going to cover this process first. This is apparently a big enough deal that in future patches Yoshi P has already mentioned that they will be adding in additional ways of obtaining these upgrade components. There are two basic routes to obtaining Centurio Seals and they are either the use of the daily/weekly Clan Hunts to gain a steady stream of seals, or instead hopping on the “Hunt Train” and hoping to find a good group that zips from zone to zone taking down A and S rank Mobs.
Clan Hunts are the easiest method and these involve going to the Clan Hunt board outside the Forgotten Knight in Ishgard each day and accepting new Level 1, 2, and 3 hunt bills similar to how the hunt bill process worked in “A Realm Reborn”. Once weekly you can also accept an Elite Clan Hunt which involves tracking down a specific B Rank Hunt mob located in a specific zone. These tend to be of similar difficulty to the old world hunt mobs, but are far harder to find given that each of the Heavensward zones is at least twice as large as its old world counterpart. Through this process you can get a total of 110 Centurio Seals per day, and once you factor in the 100 seals you get from the Elite that takes you to 870 total Seals per week.
Clan Hunt Centurio Seal Payout
- Level 1 = 3 Seals per Bill with 5 Bills Total = 15 Centurio Seals
- Level 2 = 4 Seals per Bill with 5 Bills Total = 20 Centurio Seals
- Level 3 = 15 Seals per Bill with 5 Bills Total = 75 Centurio Seals
- Elite = 100 Centurio Seals
As I mentioned before the other option is to find a Hunt group in the party finder and hope to have good luck in getting credit for the various hunt mobs. I personally find this process frustrating, but if you are looking to brute force the process of grinding out your Centurio Seals this is going to be the fastest possible option because it will allow you to earn far more than 110 seals per day. You also get the side benefit of earning some additional Tomestones of Law from each of the ranked hunt mobs.
Ranked Hunt Mobs
- 2.0 Rank A = 40 Allied Seals, 15 Centurio Seals, 30 Poetic Tomes, 10 Law Tomes
- 2.0 Rank S = 100 Allied Seals, 35 Centurio Seals, 100 Poetic Tomes, 30 Law Tomes
- 3.0 Rank A = 40 Centurio Seals, 30 Poetic Tomes, 10 Law Tomes
- 3.0 Rank S = 100 Centurio Seals, 100 Poetic Tomes, 30 Law Tomes
In order to upgrade every single piece of gear available to 180 you will need a grand total of 2795 Centurio Seals. Which means that if you are getting your maximum possible hunt seals per week it would take a little over three weeks to get enough parts to upgrade everything. This is the reason why the ranked hunt mob process is so popular, because it allows you to essentially “cheat” this process and speed it up.
Running Dungeons
The tried and true process for farming Tomestones in the past has always been your daily roulettes and and any additional level cap dungeons. The secret to my success however has been the “first time bonus”. This is a neat feature of Final Fantasy XIV that rewards players for running content with players who are going through it for the first time. As one of the primary tanks in my Free Company I have volunteered to tank for many players as they unlock new content, and for doing this I have been rewarded 40 Tomestones of Law each time. Over time this adds up significantly, so I highly suggest if you are offered a chance to run content with new players that you jump at it. For example an end game dungeon is worth 80 Tomestones of Law with no other modifiers. When you add in the first time bonus that dungeon run becomes 120 making it very quick to get those pieces of gear.

The Daily Roulette Bonus
The dungeons themselves are a potent way of gaining Tomestones of Law, especially if you factor in a “first time bonus”. However the most efficient way to gain Law is through the daily Roulette rewards. For those unfamiliar with this concept, players are rewarded a bonus amount of tomes for completing each of the roulettes once daily. These bonuses are extremely significant and are part of Squares “social engineering” that ensures players continue to run lower level content. The bonus rewards are only available for max level characters, which means to get your law you have to bring your level 60, which in turn tends to make the run go more smoothly.
Roulette Rewards
- Low Level Roulette = 100 Tomestones of Law
- High Level Roulette = 100 Tomestones of Law
- Expert Roulette = 40 Tomes + 80 from dungeon = 120 Tomestones of Law
- Trial Roulette = 60 Tomestones of Law

On Dungeon Loot
Hopefully this information will help you as you begin your push for a full set of item level 170 gear through Tomestones of Law. I wanted to add a footnote to this discussion in regards to the gear that you get from dungeons. At face value it is really easy to ignore level 160 items that drop in both Neverreap and Fractal Continuum. In theory these will not get you to the item level needed for Alexander, or at least not in themselves. However if you are doing all of the things above, and getting upgrade tokens as well as pieces of law gear, they do help to bring up your base item level. When I hit 170 I had four items of 160 gear, 3 items of 180 and the rest 170, giving me an average high enough to do Alexander. If your goal is to get there as quick as possible, just make sure you are rolling on those dungeon items to help flesh out your gear. While I did my daily roulettes, I also tended to focus on running dungeons with anyone who needed to unlock them. This gave me the first time bonus, as well as a chance at gear to improve my baseline. If you follow this train of thought you will be sitting at 170 before you know it, and getting to experience the fun new raid.
