He continues, “More and more people are trying to stretch their leisure dollars, and the value you receive at Stoney Nakoda Resort & Casino is exceptional. At check-in all hotel guests receive a provincial scratch and win lottery ticket, and we’ve even had one guest win $10,000 on it. All hotel guests receive a complimentary hot breakfast buffet each day. We get a lot of guests driving out from Cochrane and Calgary every Friday and Saturday night for our famous prime rib and lobster buffet.
The Ridge Restaurant has recently introduced a First Nations menu so guests can enjoy traditionally prepared cuisine such as elk, buffalo, and duck. Sidelines Lounge has casual pub favourites like pizza and succulent lobster mac and cheese.
All this food and fun is enjoyed without the extra padded costs you see at some other resorts such fees for parking, WiFi, and destination marketing – which is nice considering the special location of this destination.
As Grimes points out, “A lot of people come to the Rockies to explore the outdoors and soak in all that we have to offer in our own backyard. We’ve done the negotiating with our partners and have some phenomenal package pricing available. For the out-of-town tourists, it’s a one-stop shop where they can book their accommodations and excursions (helicopter tours, white water rafting, or something they may not have considered like a photography tour) and it saves them worrying about having to find their way from a hotel to an excursion location. For the local Alberta resident, it’s a quick getaway for a night with a little adventure – without breaking the bank.”
