Built in 1939, the Wrest Point Riviera Hotel was a popular spot in town and became part of Federal Hotels in 1956. If you have a car there is extensive free and secure parking for all guests, whilst Sandy Bay is just a short 10 minute drive or 30 minute walk from the centre of Hobart. Taxis and buses are also cheap and easy options and the casino is always able to help make arrangements.
