Apple Store Gambling Apps
What are in-app purchases?
Check out a brand-new app for those, who like to play and win – Vegas Slots™! Twice as many bonus-games, free spins and unbelievable impressions await! As well as lots of unique slots, daily bonuses and challenges! Break the prohibition law, repel the attack from outer space, find the lost Emerald c. All gambling apps that involve real money must be offered for free, and have the correct licensing and permission for the region where the app is used. Apple will reject any app that uses in-app purchases to purchase credit or currency to be used for gambling activities.
In-app purchases are extra content or subscriptions that you buy inside an app. Not all apps offer in-app purchases. To check if an app offers in-app purchases before you buy or download it, find it in the App Store. Then look for 'In-App Purchases' near the app's price or Get button.
There are three types of in-app purchases—subscriptions, consumable purchases, and non-consumable purchases.
What is a subscription?
With a subscription, you pay to access content from an app or service for a period of time. For example, you might subscribe to Apple Music on a monthly basis. Subscriptions include services that you sign up for in an app, such as Hulu, Spotify, Pandora, or HBO NOW.
Most subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel them. With some apps and services, you can choose how often the subscription renews. For example, you might be offered weekly, monthly, quarterly, or yearly subscriptions.

What is a non-consumable in-app purchase?
Here are examples of non-consumable in-app purchases:
- Remove ads
- Full game unlock
- Upgrade to pro edition
- Bonus game levels
You buy these items one time, and you can transfer them to other devices that are associated with your Apple ID. If you lose a non-consumable purchase, you might be able to download it again for free.

What is a consumable in-app purchase?
Here are examples of consumable in-app purchases:
- Game currency, such as coins or gems
- Extra health points in a game
- A package of exports to a new file format
You need to buy these items every time you want them, and you can't download them again for free. If you remove and reinstall an app or install an app on a new device, you might lose your consumable purchases. For example, if you install a game on your iPod touch that you started playing on your iPhone, the game levels sync, but extra health that you bought on your iPhone doesn't sync.
About sharing in-app purchases
If you use Family Sharing, you might be able to share some subscriptions with family members. Find out how to share a subscription with family. Consumable in-app purchases can't be shared.

Multiple items might be grouped onto one bill
When you buy items or pay for subscriptions, your payment method is charged at the time of purchase or within a few days.
If you don’t recognize a charge, look at your purchase history and see if multiple items were grouped onto one charge. Or look at the receipt that was emailed to you and see if multiple purchases were included.
In Europe, purchases might not be grouped.
If you see a pending charge for a small amount
If you update your billing information or add someone to your Family Sharing group, a temporary authorization hold for a small amount might appear on your statement. Authorization holds are removed by your card issuer or financial institution after a short time.
Which payment method is charged?
Apple Store Gambling Apps Without
When you buy items or pay for subscriptions, Apple attempts to charge your payment methods in this order:
- Apple attempts to use your Apple ID balance to cover the full amount.
- If you don't have Apple ID balance or you don't have enough to cover the full amount, Apple attempts to charge your primary payment method. The primary payment method is at the top of the list in Settings on your iPhone. You can control which payment method is at the top of the list.
- If there's a problem with the primary payment method, or if the primary payment method can't be charged for the full remaining amount, Apple attempts to charge your other payment methods in order from top to bottom. If none of them can be charged, Apple may try again.

Some purchases aren’t charged to your Apple ID balance
- If you're in a Family Sharing group, purchases are charged to your personal Apple ID balance. If you don't have enough Apple ID balance to pay for the purchase, the remainder is charged to the family organizer's primary payment method.
- You can’t charge gifts to your Apple ID balance. If you send a gift or gift card, your primary payment method is charged.
- Some subscriptions might not be charged to your Apple ID balance.
If none of your payment methods can be charged
If a purchase can't be charged to any of your payment methods, your account has a negative balance. You can't buy more items or update your apps until you update your payment method.
